Welcome to Third Grade
Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Faith Gaddis
Hey there! My name is Faith Gaddis, and I am excited to grow as an educator at Minerva Central School. I am from the Berne-Knox-Westerlo area however, I have a camp in Lake George and went to SUNY Plattsburgh for my undergrad in psychology, so I have always been drawn to the North Country! I just earned my Masters in Special Education and Literacy II at UAlbany and have had the opportunity to work with Eagle Point Elementary, Stevens Elementary, and Abram Lansing School.
A little about me, I LOVE everything music. Playing, listening, mixing, you name it. I am the second person from the right playing the most irregular instrument on the stage. It is called a resonator guitar (commonly known as a dobro), however, I can play many many other instruments mediocrely. I was in a band when I was at Plattsburgh called the Cardinal Pickers where I worked with Tom Venne from Beartracks as well as Eric Gibson of the Gibson Brothers! I have missed performing so much that I have recently helped start a group with my Dad, sister, and two friends shown in the photo). I enjoy saying we will “bluegrassify” any song, and we have a few originals. I am currently trying to write my first song, it is quite a challenging process!
I love to learn, especially new hobbies. When I am not playing one of my seven instruments, you can find me fishing, kayaking, painting, fixing my car with YouTube videos, playing video games, or learning new card games. I have recently hit the driving range for the first time and have found a new interest in golf. I also just joined my first bowling league! I am always eager, ready, and willing to learn something new.
Finally, I love animals! When the pandemic hit I got 2 pet rats to distract myself, Stella and Luna. Although I do not still have them, I want to add how rats make surprisingly great pets! I now have a cat named Peanut and she is amazing.
I am looking forward to this new experience, and I am so excited to be learning with all of the wonderful individuals I have heard about in the area!.
