  • Alt Codes/Alternative method for typing special/international characters

If the above method for Spanish characters does not work with whatever word processing program you are using, then follow this link to a list of "Alt codes" (Alt + ###) for an alternative method.  First, you might want to follow the link for "How to use Alt code Characters", then follow the link in the right hand column for "Spanish Alt Codes".

  • No Microsoft Word? No problema!

If you need a word processing program then open this link for a FREE version.  Open Office is a free version of Microsoft Office, including Word and Power Point.  Just make sure your computer has enough memory, download it, and start using it.  It's easy to learn if you are already familiar with Microsoft Office programs.  Also, it is supposed to be compatible with Microsoft Office programs.
